I received my first camera as a Christmas gift at fifteen, and it didn’t take long for photography to become part of who I was. My love for sports and storytelling came together naturally, and I soon became the unofficial photographer for the boys’ varsity basketball team in the program I played for. I continued photographing games through graduation, and it was easily one of the most meaningful parts of my high school experience.
Seeing my images shared across the program’s social media—and by parents with friends and family—was incredibly rewarding. I felt immense pride knowing I was able to document athletes doing what they loved while creating memories their families could cherish for years to come. That same sense of joy still fuels my work today.
I love documenting growing families, celebrating graduates at pivotal moments in their lives, and preserving the connection between two people in love. I am endlessly grateful to those who invite me into their lives, trust me with their stories, and allow me to document them in a lasting way. Whether it’s a small, in-between moment, a burst of laughter, or a detail you didn’t realize would mean so much later, my intention is always to create images that feel natural, emotional, and lasting.
Growing up, I wasn’t someone who thrived in traditional subjects like math or science - I found my place in the creative world. Art, music, and later, psychology shaped the way I see and understand people, and I’m deeply thankful those passions led me to this career. To everyone who has supported this journey - whether by booking a session, sharing my work, or recommending me to someone else - thank you. Your support means more than I can say.
“We had a dream for our engagement photoshoot session, and Abby made it come to life!! Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and creativity can be seen in every photo. We are so thrilled with how our engagement pictures turned out and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives!”

I’m Abby, the girl behind Abigailmphotos!
I grew up in West Michigan, not far outside of Grand Rapids, and in 2019 I moved to Toledo, OH to study psychology at the University of Toledo. Life has since brought me to a little house in Milan, MI where I live with my fiance Jack and our two cats, Copper & Todd. When I’m not spending the day dancing my heart out at your wedding reception, I’m usually at home - reading, puzzling, dancing in the kitchen, or out golfing with Jack!
